Donald Trump easily won Iowa, as the polls had indicated, and he did it despite 91 felony charges and enormous amounts of time and money spent against him. More importantly, as Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley have fixated on early state contests, Trump has expanded his nationwide lead among Republican voters.
The four most recent national polls, when averaged, give Trump a resounding 70% of the Republican primary vote – up 27 points since March. He now leads Haley by 58 points and DeSantis by 59 points.
Even a large chunk of Republicans who don’t want Trump to be nominated nonetheless like him….
